The team arrived in Anchorage Saturday evening almost on time. We found out upon arrival that we would be serving with a church from Texas - Rush Creek Baptist. There are 13 from this church so we have 26 volunteers to support True North Church, here in Anchorage!
After a good night's rest, we began the day with a wonderful devotion time and then we were off to Sunday worship service. It was wonderful to see all the new faces as well as those we met last year. There was a major event going on in the area but there were still around 125 in attendance! God is truly blessing this 8-month old community of faith. Pastor Brent Williams delivered a great sermon challenging all of us in our commitment in sharing our faith.
Please continue to pray for this new church plant, the church, and the people with whom we will meet that they will be receptive to hearing the Good News. Pray for continued good health for the teams and that we will stay focused on the mission. Pray for the block parties that are scheduled for four of the five days this week.
