Malawi 2011 update 8

Our last day of ministry finished well in the village of Chakakala. Although a funeral in a neighboring village caused some small changes in our plans, the gospel was still spread to many homes throughout the day as well as to the children of the VBS. We said goodbye to our interpreters as well and were able to provide them with gifts and donations that we had brought for them and their families. God has used them mightily in the country of Malawi, and we are thankful to have worked with them all for these two weeks. According to the numbers kept by the interpreters, we have seen more than 900 people pray to receive Christ as their Savior in these last two weeks! God is greatly at work in Malawi, and although it may seem cliche', the fields truly are ripe for the harvest in this small country.

Tomorrow morning we will head to the airport for our departure. We are scheduled to leave around 1:00 p.m. Malawi time which would be 7 a.m. EST. Please pray that our flights go smoothly and that all of our luggage will return safely with us. Thank you so much for your prayers throughout the past two weeks. God has greatly blessed our time here!

Love,
Team Malawi
