Malawi Update (Day 1 & 2)

Day 1 (3/2) - arrived late in the afternoon into Lilongwe and enjoyed catching up with our missionary partners, Mat and Janet Lawrence.  It was great to see them again after an absence of three years and to plan for the upcoming week.

Day 2 - traveled out to Komoyo village for a day of worship and fellowship.  It was exciting to see over 100 people join in worship of the King and especially so many youth! Like Uganda, it's hard not to get excited when the people here are offering their praise and worship to The Lord. Oh, if we Americans were this enthusiastic in our praise.

Unfortunately, due to a twisted ankle and a pulled hamstring muscle, I had to preach sitting down.  I really hated to resort to this acceptance of an injury but had no choice. When we are weak, He is strong! Thanks be to God for His presence.

Please be in prayer as we begin a series of key meetings regarding potential partnerships. I have struggled with some physical issues and logistical issues but God is sovereign and in control of all things. I had a good night's sleep and feeling better today so hopefully will be more mobile today.

Uganda Update (Day 7)

Day 7- the team spent the day passing out additional flyers for the evangelistic service last evening. In addition, we had the opportunity to go to each classroom at the school and gave them salvation bracelets. This way, we were able to present the Gospel once again for all the students as well as their teachers.
The students were also presented individual book bags that were monogrammed by our Project Comfort ladies, under the direction of Debbie Allen. The children loved them and expressed great enthusiasm for their gifts.
The evening service drew many from the community and we had a wonderful time in worship music and hearing the Word of God with the theme of Hope for Eternal Salvation. We praise God for His favor this week in opening many doors for the Gospel to be presented!
