Peru Update #5

Day 5- the team served our last day in Pamplona today. It was bittersweet because more people were coming each day and new and exciting relationships were being formed each day but the mission was also coming to an end.
The team was engaged in several women's activities (Bible study, cooking class, having a meal together, and hand care). This was a special treat for them because the rest of the team took their children and provided activities for them as well.  There were over 20 women in their sessions and 60 to 70 children. This little church plant was thrilled at the things that took place this week! We believe it holds the possibility of providing the light of Christ in very dark circumstances. Please pray that God will raise up strong leadership that will guide this family of faith in the coming days.
The team will return to Villa el Salvador for the last two days of ministry. One of the exciting elements of this mission has been to see the members of this three-year old church plant now take on the role of a sponsoring church. They have two small-groups meeting in other areas of their community and they have a wonderful church facility. God is indeed pouring His blessings upon First Baptist Church of Villa el Salvador and the Pastor.      Team Peru
